Mentor Acknowledgement Form

Dear Mentor, with our commitment to the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, South India Baptist Bible College & Seminary's Online Programs seek to wholistically train men and women for evangelism and church planting in India and beyond. As a crucial part of this training process, we require each online student to have a mentor in his/her own locality to assist in the spiritual growth, ministerial training and skill development. It is our expectation that a mentor must be a matured Christian leader who can provide spiritual nurture, guidance, and ministerial opportunities to the mentee (student) for their personal growth. If our student has approached you with the request to be his/her mentor and if you are willing to take up this commitment, we deeply appreciate your support. We truly thank you for your willingness to selflessly contribute to the wholistic development of our student. Your contribution will mould him/her and shape them into a leader in the Lord's vineyard. I joyfully commit to contribute to the Lord Jesus Christ's Great Commission through my involvement in the mentorship program at South India Baptist Bible College & Seminary (SIBBC&S).

I recognize that stepping into a mentor role is a choice made freely, and I embrace this duty with the full support and awareness of my church/organization.

I'm aware that being a mentor means offering guidance, encouragement, and ministerial opportunities to my mentee.

I will thoughtfully help my mentee in setting goals aimed at spiritual and ministerial growth, and will assist in reaching these objectives.

I plan to keep in touch with my mentee once in a month to offer counsel, feedback, and encouragement on their spiritual and ministerial path.

I understand that our mentoring relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect, trust, and empathy and will safeguard the confidentiality of all discussions with my mentee. I will steer clear of any conduct that could be seen as discriminatory, harassing, or abusive.

I commit to providing updates to the institution on my mentee's progress once in 6 months of 12 months, and will do so promptly and professionally.

I value the role of spiritual practices, character development, theological thought, practical skills, awareness of context, and personal growth in the formation of my mentee's spiritual and ministerial identity.

I value the significance of hands-on ministry experiences and am willing to lead my mentee through an insightful internship.

As a mentor, I acknowledge the pivotal role I play in nurturing student towards a holistic spiritual and ministerial identity, equipping them for effective and meaningful Christian service.
